Carob Cottage

Is a one bedroom cottage that sleep a maximum of 3 people and is situated in the grounds of Quintassential that occupies an acre of hilltop, totally fenced and within a gated complex. The Quintassential is located in the centre of the sunny Algarve in total peace & tranquillity 15 minutes from Faro International Airport & the coast and overlooking the market town of Loulé. There are spectacular panoramic sea views from Faro to Portimao

Parts of the Quintassential date back to mid 19th Century and now the Quintassential consists of four cottages that are available for rent - Orange Cottage, Casa do Forno Cottage, Lemon Cottage and Carob Cottage.

The Lemon and Carob Cottages are the newer cottages at Quintassential, light and airy one bedroom cottages and located adjacent to each other, ideal for couples wishing to holiday together yet having their own privacy. The Carob Cottage has a large bedroom that has a double bed, large ceiling fan, security safe & patio doors leading on to the sun terrace. The bedrooms are large enough to also accommodate a single bed too. The bathroom has a new luxury bathroom with shower, washbasin, WC, bidet and shaver point.
                                        
The spacious lounge/diner is decorated tastefully with pine furniture and a wood burning stove for those cooler winter evenings. The lounge has Satellite TV (free to view channels), VCR (videos available to rent), radio/CD player (guests to bring own CDs), puzzles, chess set, playing cards, Domino set and patio doors leading onto a private terrace with tables and chairs, brick Bar-B-Q’s, cushioned reclining chairs.  
 
The kitchenette comprises of fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and electric hob.

Outside the Quintassential is blessed with panoramic sea views and spectacular countryside views, just what you need for a tranquil and relaxing holiday. The gardens at Quintassential are marvellous with many bushes, plants and fruit trees, along with quiet areas to relax and absorb the views.

The Quintassential has a large pool area, the pool measures 10 x 5 m and cushioned sun loungers, and parasols etc are provided for the use of the guests. From May 2006, the Quintassential also has the  added benefit of a hot tub/Jacuzzi located on the pool terrace for guest use.

Extras
On arrival the owners will meet you and awaiting your arrival will be a very generous welcome hamper in your accommodation compliments of the house.  For all the adult guests, bathrobes are provided for use during their stay, pool towels are provided to use only at the Quintassential and the cottages have hairdryers and alarm clocks.  Guests will need to bring their own beach towels.

Bed linen and bath towels are changed frequently during your stay. Bathrobes are provided for the use of all our guests as are Pool Towels.

Additional beds can also be arranged at time of booking. Cots and high chairs are available upon request at time of booking and at no extra cost. Laundry facilities are available for a small additional charge - please see our extras section.

A generous Welcome Pack consisting of ham, cheese, bread, milk, water, fruit juice, red wine, white wine, beer, fruit and biscuits is included in the tariff price.

At Quintassential an evening meal option on limited nights of the week is available – served on the main house terrace. Traditional Portuguese home-cooked food is served. We also stock a wide selection of locally produced wines and beers.
 
From June until the end of September on a selected week night, there is also an evening meal option.  Traditional home cooked Portuguese cuisine is served on the owner’s private terrace, which has spectacular views over Loule.  What a better way to end your day with a nice meal and a glass of delicious Portuguese wine.

Whilst access to Quintassential cottages is very good, we do, owing to its location, recommend that transport be arranged prior to your arrival. Hire cars are relatively inexpensive and are usually picked up and dropped off at the airport. We are able to offer competitive rates. There is also an excellent Taxi service available locally.
