Orange Cottage

The Orange Cottage is a large rustic 2 bedroom Cottage that sleeps a maximum of 4 adults and an infant under the age of 7 and is in the grounds of Quintassential, a totally fenced and gated complex which occupies an acre of hilltop 15 minutes from Faro International Airport and the coast. The property is south facing and is set amidst breathtaking countryside overlooking the market town of Loulé, and the sea views are understandably breathtaking!

Parts of the Quintassential date back to mid 19th Century and the Quintassential now consists of four cottages that are rented out - Orange Cottage, Casa do Forno Cottage, Lemon Cottage and Carob Cottage and also the owners cottage.

The Orange Cottage is the largest of the cottages at Quintassential, a large two bedroom rustic cottage decorated in typical Algarvian décor of white washed walls and with a brand new fully fitted kitchen fitted during November 2005 that includes an electric oven & gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle & toaster.   
 
The Lounge/diner is tastefully decorated with cane and pine furniture, Satellite TV (free to view channels), DVD (guests to bring own DVDs) video (videos available to rent) & radio/CD player (guests to bring own CDs), a selection of books, puzzles, chess set, playing cards, ceiling fan & the Orange Cottage boasts an original 19th century fireplace that now houses the wood-burning stove. Double doors lead on to the very large private terrace with it's own table and chairs, brick Bar-B-Q area and cushioned reclining chairs.
 
The bathroom has a new luxury double walk-in shower, washbasin, WC, bidet and sloping wooden ceiling.  The Orange Cottage bedrooms consist of one double bed & one twin bed both with sloping wooden ceilings.

Outside the Quintassential is blessed with panoramic sea views and spectacular countryside views, just what you need for a tranquil and relaxing holiday. The gardens at Quintassential are marvellous with many bushes, plants and fruit trees, along with quiet areas to relax and absorb the views.

The Quintassential has a large pool area, the pool measures 10 x 5 m and cushioned sun loungers, and parasols etc are provided for the use of the guests. From May 2006 there will also be the added benefit of a hot tub/Jacuzzi located on the pool terrace for guest use.

Extras
On arrival the owners will meet you and awaiting your arrival will be a very generous welcome hamper in your accommodation compliments of the house.  For all the adult guests, bathrobes are provided for use during their stay, pool towels are provided to use only at the Quintassential and the cottages have hairdryers and alarm clocks.  Guests will need to bring their own beach towels.

Bed linen and bath towels are changed frequently during your stay. Bathrobes are provided for the use of all our guests as are Pool Towels.

Additional beds can also be arranged at time of booking. Cots and high chairs are available upon request at time of booking and at no extra cost. Laundry facilities are available for a small additional charge - please see our extras section.

A generous Welcome Pack consisting of ham, cheese, bread, milk, water, fruit juice, red wine, white wine, beer, fruit and biscuits is included in the tariff price.

At Quintassential an evening meal option on limited nights of the week is available – served on the main house terrace. Traditional Portuguese home-cooked food is served. We also stock a wide selection of locally produced wines and beers.

From June until the end of September on a selected week night, there is also an evening meal option. Traditional home cooked Portuguese cuisine is served on the owner’s private terrace, which has spectacular views over Loule.  What a better way to end your day with a nice meal and a glass of delicious Portuguese wine.

Whilst access to The Orange Cottage at Quintassential is very good, we do, owing to its location, recommend that transport be arranged prior to your arrival. Hire cars are relatively inexpensive and are usually picked up and dropped off at the airport. We are able to offer competitive rates. There is also an excellent Taxi service available locally.
