Casa Monte Casal

Casa Monte Casal is located 5 minutes from the traditional Portuguese town of São Bras de Alportel and set in the peaceful and tranquil Eastern Algarvian countryside with beautiful views of the countryside. Casa Monte Casal is located in a very small tourist complex that comprises of a total of nine properties at the end of a no through road and just a 20 minute drive from Faro International Airport. 

Casa Monte Casal is an ideal family choice or for large parties wishing to holiday together. Upon entering the villa you will be amazed by the character this beautiful old Portuguese house has, rustic furniture and typical white washed wall décor. Casa Monte Casal also has the added benefit of a tennis court that is surrounded by beautiful fragranced orange and lemon trees.

This spacious traditional Villa offers accommodation for ten people. Casa Monte Casal comprises of five large twin bedrooms, the large light and airy master bedroom has its own private terrace with views to the countryside and also access to the roof terrace.  One of the three bedrooms that are located upstairs has an en-suite WC with washbasin. The other two bedrooms are located on the ground floor and have a “Jack & Jill” bathroom with bath with shower over, washbasin, WC and bidet.   All the bathrooms within the villa are large and spacious. The large family bathroom has beautiful traditional Portuguese tiles and comprises of a bath with shower over, bidet, WC, “His and Hers” pedestal washbasins and a separate shower. Cots can be provided for smaller children. All the bedrooms are large and furnished with beautiful traditional Portuguese furniture.

The kitchen is of rustic style and equipped with an abundance of crockery and cutlery and features an electric oven and gas hob, electric kettle, large fridge with freezer section, use of washing machine and a breakfast bar with breakfast stools.

The very large light and spacious lounge area has Satellite TV (free to view channels) and a traditional wood-burning fireplace for the cooler autumn winter months. There are also large double doors leading on to the pool and large terrace area. The Dining Area has a large rustic dining table with seating for ten people and is furnished with exquisite traditional local furniture.

Outside there is a wonderful enclosed sun terrace with sun loungers, table, chairs and parasols that surrounds the 8 x 4 metre swimming pool. There is also a brick built Bar-B-Q ideal for al-fresco dining. 

A maid service is provided twice weekly to ensure that fresh bed linen and bath/hand towels are available.

Casa Monte Casal is well placed in the Eastern Algarve for exploring the countryside, visiting one or more of the magnificent beaches a short drive away, playing golf and other sports or for simply relaxing in the peaceful surroundings and taking in the beauty of the region. Casa Monte Casal offers guests superb walking, bird watching and a retreat from the stresses of modern life.  Many guests choose to eat out and experience traditional Portuguese food that is available at the many reasonably priced cafés and restaurants throughout the area.

Access to Casa Monte Casal is very good and car rental is essential and this is already included in the price and is picked up and dropped off at Faro Airport.

The owners have no objections to guests wishing to smoke inside Casa Monte Casal.

For larger travelling parties, Casa Monte Casal is one of four properties available catering from 2 – 20 people.  The other properties available that can be let together can be found in our cottage section, Casa Lareira, Casa Mimosa and Casa Estrelicia.
